Preparation for the Dance of Intimacy:
Advanced Imago Relationship Program for Singles

If you have moved beyond thinking that writing a better Internet dating profile or getting advice from well meaning friends is your best preparation for a wonderful, enduring romantic relationship, or if you have experienced a series of unsatisfying or failed relationships and want to find a truly effective way to create and nurture a romantic relationship, you might be ready for our new Imago program.

Why Does Anyone Need Help Finding Romance?

  • Because few of us learn the skills necessary to succeed. At least 50% of first marriages and 63% of second marriages end in divorce. Of those who remain together in marriage or cohabitation, a large percentage are emotionally detached, angry, and unhappy, often living parallel lives or an “invisible divorce.”
  • Only a fraction of us had models of strong, healthy, nurturing relationships at home, and fewer yet have had the advantage of any training or teaching about the complexity of relationships and how they work.
  • Research by Dr. John Gottman, a psychologist who has thoroughly studied marriage and relationships over a several years, says that the most successful and least successful couples have about the same number of conflicts.
  • Some people think that simple compatibility or common interests are enough, but the research says they are not reliable predictors of relationship success. Rather the real secret to a successful relationship lies in learning the skills to build and nurture your relationship.

Are There Any Prerequisites?

No. You can benefit even if you have not taken any of our other classes. This can be your first class or group.

What Can I Expect?

Through this program you can foster your awareness of old wounds, habits, or coping mechanisms that get in the way of real soulmate relationships. You can experience the necessary healing and awareness to prepare you to act consciously to attract a more evolved partner.

You can develop the inner strength, understanding, and communication skills to:

  • Share your honest feelings and thoughts about yourself and your life concerns.
  • Voice frustrations, concerns, and even irritations in a way that enables others, including most importantly, any future partner to really listen to you.
  • Build your self-esteem and sense of empowerment by learning to say "no" to others, including partners, when you need to, and learning to effectively ask for things you want.
  • Listen effectively, even when you don’t like what you are hearing, in a way that allows others to feel heard and validated.
  • Affirm yourself, honor your life purpose, and take action steps toward making your ideal life vision a reality either in or out of relationship.
